Wellness, Prevention and Disease Management Programs

During this type of session the therapist will focus on:


  • The reduction of soft tissue, connective tissue, neuro-vascular bundle and/or fascial restriction
  • Modulation and management of pain
  • Postural awareness
  • Increase of joint range of motion and reduction or elimination of soft tissue swelling, inflammation or restrictions
  • Induce relaxation and improvement of contractile & non-contractile tissue extensibility
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Movement Based Intervention 

During this type of session the therapist will focus on the use of dynamic activities to improve functional performance. Dynamic therapeutic activities are designed to achieve improved functional and enhance physical performance. Therapeutic exercises will be implemented to develop strength and endurance, range of motion and flexibility. During this session, Pilates Based, neuromuscular re-education, TRX, balance, weights, elastic bands and props will be used to enhance movement.  ​​

Lifestyle changes, including increased physical activity, can lead to health benefits in those with chronic disease, prevent or manage a number of noncommunicable diseases, and lead to an increased quality of life".


Here at Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, we offer a variety of prevention, wellness and disease management programs to help you stay active, to enhance your quality of life, and to help you transition into a more independent workout regimen while still being assisted by one of our physical therapists.

​Wellness Plan of Care
 
Clients participating in our Wellness Program are in a current state which is not medically necessary and/or does not require skilled intervention. Client's under Wellness are interested in participating in the wellness, prevention and disease management program to enhance their quality of life, and to help them transition into a more independent workout regimen while still being assisted by a licensed physical therapists and/or a licensed physical therapy assistant.
