Administrative Assistant: Patient Coordinator & Billing Specialist

Jecilin Castro-Giraldo graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelors in English and International Relations, and a certificate in Public and Professional Writing.

Before working for Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, Jecilin was a substitute teacher at an elementary charter school. It is there that she met Dr. Anna K. Tischenko, who was volunteering at a school event. They struck up a conversation about a possible job opportunity which eventually led her to begin her work with Physical Therapy & Wellness Center in 2019. As she has always been interested in administrative work, she was excited to become part of the administrative team.

Jecilin has been able to grow and expand her skill set since starting at the clinic, and is now not only the  administrative assistant, but the patient coordinator, and billing specialist for both rehabilitative and wellness patients. She is passionate about her work, and hopes to continue to learn from both the therapists and patients alike. Jecilin is excited about the possibility of continuing to grow with the company, and helping it move forward in the future.

Valentina Briceño, BS , RT

Billing Specialist 

​​Valentina Briceño has a B.S. in Recreational Therapy from Florida International University where she represented their Division 1 tennis team for two years. Since she played the sport for 12 years, she experienced a couple of injuries that led her to realize she wanted to become a Physical Therapist. Valentina has recently been accepted into the University of Miami’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program where she will continue the exciting journey of becoming a Physical Therapist. 

Valentina spent a year interning as a Recreational Therapist at both Villa Maria Nursing Home and TaMiami Parks and Recreation. She has now been working as a billing specialist for our PTeam since 2016. ​

The  administrative team also maintains the PTeam

in good shape everyday after lunch with our famous "Cafecito Time".
